Megawatt - level Charging System Demonstrated by Milence Paves the Way for Electric Truck Revolution

    On June 17, 2025, Milence, a joint venture of Daimler Truck, Volvo Group and TRATON GROUP, completed the first global public demonstration of the megawatt - level charging system (MCS) at the Port of Zwolle in the Netherlands. The Milence MCS has a charging capacity of 1,440 kW, which can charge a Volvo electric truck to a range of 400 km in 15 minutes. After successfully verifying the technical feasibility, Milence will start the expansion project of the charging center in Landvetter, Sweden. It plans to complete the coverage of the 1,500 - km electric car charging network from Antwerp to Stockholm by 2026, promoting the electrification transformation of the European commercial vehicle industry.
